Join the FBA’s Diversity Committee in greening-up Detroit. This year we will be planting trees along city streets in the area of Sunderland and Stahelin from 7 Mile Road to Outer Drive. Supervised by The Greening of Detroit and the USDA/USFS Great Lakes Restoration initiative, there is no cost for this event and no experience is necessary. Everyone is welcome, including children! Volunteers will meet at 1911 Margareta, Detroit, MI at 8:45 a.m. to sign in. Dress for the weather in clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and wear closed-toe, rigid soled shoes (tennis shoes or work boots). Bring work gloves and a water bottle if possible.
The deadline to sign up as a volunteer is June 1. For more information or to RSVP contact Marcy Rosen at (248) 733-3890; email: marcy.rosen@gmail.com or Brian Figot at (248) 594-5950; email: fbamich@fbamich.org
