Author Jack Lessenberry (archivist Elizabeth Zerwekh) will be a keynote speaker at the Court Historical Society Luncheon on November 17th. Mr. Lessenberry’s most recent book celebrates Avern Cohn’s extraordinary 70-year legal career and is called Thinking About the Other Fella: Avern Cohn’s Life and the Law. It includes a biographical narrative, and an intense examination of his most important cases, and a selection of articles both by and about the judge, who is a prolific writer and an accomplished historian in his own right.
On Friday, Nov. 5, from 5 to 7 pm., we celebrate the Judge and book at Franklin Hills Country Club. All FBA members are invited to attend, but must RSVP. Books will be available, and the judge will be happy to autograph them and see old friends.
