DESCRIPTION:\nNew Lawyers’ Seminar 2025\n\nMarch 11-12\nRegular Price for non-members\, guests and members: $185.   \nRegister by 2 January\, 2025 for early bird special price of  $160  \n\nThis is a TWO-DAY and IN-PERSON (only) event.  By registering for this event you are registering for BOTH days.  If not already an association member\, our registration includes a FREE junior membership in our bar association in the Eastern District of Michigan.  Registration ALSO includes lunch and a continental breakfast on both days.  The due date to register for the seminar is Friday\, March 7th\, 2025.\n\n\nHere’s how to register: \n\nSelect “Click to Register” below.\nClick on SIGN UP and enter your information.\nA verification email will be sent to you and then you will create your password and Tradewing account.\nOnce into our Tradewing portal\, search our events and click on the New Lawyers’ Seminar.\nThen click on REGISTER for the New Lawyers’ Seminar.\n\nRegister HERE! \nNEW LAWYER’S SEMINAR PARTICIPANTS who sign up early enough will have the opportunity to register for and participate in a mass swearing-in ceremony held during the seminar and thereafter be admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. This mass-swearing in opportunity will be open only to individuals who register for the New Lawyer’s Seminar. \nRegistrants who did not register for the mass swearing in to the District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan prior to February XX\, 2025 deadline will be able to coordinate an individual swearing-in ceremony at a later date.  The major differences between being sworn-in later (as opposed to the mass swearing in) is that applicants will need a sponsor.  Also\, for those not sworn in as part of the mass-swearing in\, there is no actual ceremony.   Information for admission can be found on the court’s website: www.mied.uscourts.gov. \nPlease see: \nhttps://www.mied.uscourts.gov/index.cfm?pagefunction=attyAdmissionProcedure \nInformation about how to obtain a Certificate of Good Standing from the Michigan Supreme Court Clerk can be found here (we recommend requesting a certificate by EMAIL): https://www.courts.michigan.gov/courts/supreme-court/clerks-office/attorney-certification/. \nUnfortunately\, no seminar refunds after 1/31/2024. \n\n\n
